PWD 86 Series
A New Holistic Approach for Washer Disinfectors - Up to 18 DIN Trays
The PWD 86 Series of high-capacity instrument washer-disinfector is designed to meet the cleaning challenges of the increasing complexity of your CSSD. A synergy of exclusive technological innovations, connecting efficiency and sustainability, allowing for a complete washing, thermal disinfection treatment, and forced hot air drying of all types of dental and surgical instruments. The combination of the variable speed with a double pump system, modular load carriers, and the drying system with two blowers and HEPA filters provides improved cleaning and drying performance and reduced water and energy consumption to an unparalleled level.
With the PWD 86 series, you can choose between two sizes to optimize your CSSD layouts – with 900 mm / 35.44″ or 1150 mm / 45.28″ width. The two configurations share the same main features and performance, and they both conveniently use the same wash racks and modules, ensuring a smooth workflow. In addition, Steelco has developed the new patented “Power Pulse Cleaning” technology to improve the cleaning of MIS instruments that are difficult to reprocess, thus minimizing or eliminating any need for manual pre-cleaning.
Advanced Eco Options and Heat Recovery System
The combination of the different tank options allows you to reach the optimal configuration, as efficiently and as fast as you need. PWD 86 series can be equipped with different types of built-in water tanks:
- Pre-Heating Tank: to speed up the process by preheating the final rinse
- DI water Recycling Tank: to recycle the final rinse water to be used in the following washing cycle
- Combi Tank: to speed up the process and recycle the final rinse water.
The ECO steam condenser absorbs heat during the drying phase to preheat final rinse water for the following cycle. Incoming cold demineralized water passing through a heat exchanger assists to save both heating energy and up to 50% of the cooling water per cycle.
Flexible Loading and Intelligent Cycle Selection
Modules dedicated to instruments of different surgical specialties can be easily inserted into a base wash rack. RFID scanning of the modules selects the optimal cleaning and disinfection cycle from the washer’s stored-program database, choosing the best program to ensure maximum cleaning and disinfection efficacy whilst reducing cycle time, water usage and energy consumption.
Patented technology exclusively available from Steelco.
Double Drying System
The drying system has been designed to provide optimal performance both in terms of saving process time and improving drying quality with two blowers, heating systems, and HEPA filters. HEPA filters are located immediately before the chamber so that potential particles from fan and heater elements are safely filtered out.
Hygenic Design and Water Filtration
Designed and constructed with smooth edges and corners, removing areas where soil could accumulate and lead to bacterial growth. Sump fine filter mesh reduces the size of the debris that can recirculate to less than 0.2 mm only and eliminates the need to equip the rotating washing arms with open ends for inspection and cleaning access thereby saving time.
The control system provides up to 8 user levels for daily use, programming, or service activities. Users can also identify themselves with RFID cards. The washing rack composition is automatically scanned and recognized for simple and safe process operation
Intuitive Process Monitoring
Process monitoring is intuitive with color-coded messages to quickly identify the cycle status from color touch display. Washer/cycle status is also easily shown by the change of color of the chamber light.
Integrated Loading Solutions
A full range of transfer trolleys, infeed and outfeed conveyors and rack return hatches or windows is available to be combined and match your perfect workflow layout. Automatic conveyors can be provided with integrated drawer for canisters 4 x 10 l capacity.
Available in 900 mm and 1150 mm width models sharing the same wash racks and modules.
Space Saving Concept
Fewer racks and modules allow you to save space in your busy CSSD and still get the perfect results you need.
Adaptive Speed Washing
A variable speed pump system allows the adjustment of water pressure and flows according to the amount and type of load and the cycle phase (clean, rinse, or disinfection).
Dynamic Water Loading
Proper water temperature, pressure and flows thanks to controlled water inlets and a variable speed pump. A second pump is fully dedicated to the chamber washing arms.
User Friendly Large HMI
7‘‘color touch displays are integrated into the glass front panel of the washer and installed on both loading and unloading sides.
Full history cycle traceability, compatible with Steelco Data Pro. Ethernet Port for network communication. Integrated printer available as an option.
Power Pulse Cleaning
As a leading innovator, Steelco has developed the newly patented “Power Pulse Cleaning”, allowing to reduce or skip manual pre-treatment in the cleaning process of complex narrow hollow lumed surgical instruments for ensured safety, consistency, and cost-efficiency.
Automations are key to save time whilst minimizing workflow interruption.
Steelco automated systems range from loading and unloading to recognizing instruments and packing them. They optimize labor usage and speed up the instrument reprocessing workflow. Moreover, few manual handling makes it possible to free up staff for other important tasks.
Flexible Loading System
Customize your wash cart levels through Flexible Loading System. It allows the preparation of instruments in single modules and facilitates the loading of the trolley, improving security and ergonomics.
