MITO FB COMBI

MITO FB COMBI offers an integrated and flexible solution to support the increasing demand for compact systems to fully automatic handling of bottles and caps. MITO FB COMBI is an all-in-one solution for decapping, emptying, washing, sanitization, filling and recapping in less than 4 m2 footprint. This versatile device is compatible with any model of caps and feeding bottles of the different brands available on the market. This high productivity device can process up to 720 bottles and 720 caps per hours and provides compatibility with robotic loading and unloading functions.
A fully transparent external chamber door allows an easy visual inspection of the chamber and of the process. High-quality stainless steel 316L chambers, sump and pre-heating tanks ensure long-term reliability and optimal cleanliness. Washing and rinsing chambers are fitted with stainless steel interlocked space-saving sliding doors. Independent washing and rinsing systems avoid cross-contamination. Individual nozzles guarantee perfect cleaning of the outer and inner surfaces of the bottles. The device is suitable for in-line and conventional barrier pass-through applications.
Five different phases are organically handled by the same automated system:
- Automatic loading table – Loading table compatible with automatic or robotic loading systems.
- Decapping and emptying – The caps of the bottles are removed and placed on the dedicated washing line. The remaining water in the bottles is automatically emptied.
- Washing phase – Bottles and caps are washed separately in interlocked chambers.
- Sanitization phase – Sanitization is performed by rinsing with individual nozzles for bottle and caps.
- Filling phase – Bottle filling automatically starts once the crate is correctly positioned.
- Recapping phase – At the end of the process, the bottles are automatically capped with the same initials caps.
Modern animal facilities require equipment able to deal with fast increasing demand of productivity. The MITO FB COMBI can be equipped with an automation system, from the very beginning or during a later stage. The machine can be combined with cartesian or anthropomorphic robots. Bottle crates stored on a transport trolley are positioned on a docking station on the loading and unloading side of the unit. The robot picks one by one the bottle crates and releases them on the loading conveyor. The robot can work automatically once it has been programmed or can be remotely controlled by an operator thanks to a pad which allows to work in a manual mode.
Drinking water acidification unit option
Laboratory animal drinking water supplied to mice varies considerably from facility to facility, not only in microbial, minerals and organic content but also in water treatment. One of the most common and established treating method is to acidify the drinking water in order to reduce the bacteria’s presence in water bottles. Steelco drinking water acidification unit is designed to treat drinking water to be dispensed via bottles filling modules. Upon request, the acidification unit can be positioned near by the MITO FB COMBI or integrated within its loading or unloading conveyors.
Customized Crates and Trolleys
A large variety of bottle crates and dedicated transport trolleys are available. Bottles baskets are made of 304 or 316L Stainless Steel, they are autoclavable and equipped with a smart solution for opening and locking the lid of the bottle crates. Transport trolley are autoclavable and equipped with 4 swivel wheels, available both in 304 or 316L stainless steel.
SteelcoData View software is designed to collect and record data from Steelco devices. Information collected in real-time is traced and efficiently visualized for device monitoring and data management.
A combination of up to 1440 bottles and caps reprocessed per hour with a considerable saving of time and staff.
Individual nozzles for full bottles coverage during the wash and rinse cycles. Efficient sanitisation by rinsing at 85°C.
The unit can be configured for left-to-right or right-to-left work flow and can be integrated through a dirty to clean barrier.
